Founded in 1981, using our Suffolk stud as a base, we purchased select Poll Dorsets to introduce the "white gene". Over the last ten years we have sourced outstanding White Suffolk sires and selected ewes from various other studs to help build up a high quality ewe flock quickly.

We continually aim to improve performance and productivity on sound structured sheep, and so provide high quality flock rams to prime lamb producers, and sound breeding stock to stud breeders.

Balanced breeding strategies have been set in place to achieve these goals. Modern technology has been utilized - Artificial Insemination to introduce useful genetics and Lambplan for performance assessment. We consider maintaining accurate and detailed records alongside sound management practices essential. Participation in health and Quality assurance programs such as Ovine Brucellosis Accreditation and Ovine Johnes Disease, Market Assurance Program and D.N.A. testing have been keenly sought.

To help speed our genetic progress, generation turnover is enhanced by using the best ram lambs (7 months old) each year and lambing down our ewes from as young as 12 months. Embryo Transfer and J.I.V.E.T programs have also been undertaken to make best use of our top ewes.  High lambing percentages are also encouraged in the stud to give an even greater selection and in the last few years we have realised above 165% live lambs.

Our progress is measured by:

• Lambplan through across-flock E.B.V's,
• client feedback,
• the performance of our stock within other studs,
• and comparing our best with the cream of the breed by exhibiting at major shows.
